Chubb Charity Challenge and Hilb, Rogal & Hobbs of CT Benefit HARC

 HARTFORD, CT      AUGUST 2006          The Greater Hartford Association for Retarded Citizens, Inc. (HARC) was the lucky recipient of prize money from the New Haven Chubb Charity Challenge Golf Tournament held at The Lake of Isles Golf Club, home of the Foxwoods Casino and Resort, in North Stonington, CT on June 29, 2006.

     Scott Freeman, HARC’s Sales Representative with Hilb, Rogal & Hobbs of Connecticut in Hartford, placed fourth in the tournament and designated HARC as the beneficiary of his prize money. This was the first year that Hilb, Rogal & Hobbs of CT participated in the event.

     Created in 2000, The Chubb Charity Challenge brings together insurance agents, brokers and customers throughout the US and Canada each year to raise thousands for charity. Since 2000 it has raised a total of $4,000,000.

    The Greater Hartford Association for Retarded Citizens, Inc. (HARC), was formed in 1951 by parents of children with mental retardation. HARC remains true to its mission of helping people with mental retardation and their families enjoy lives of quality, inclusion and dignity by providing support, education and advocacy. 
    HARC currently serves over 800 people a day in a wide array of programs and runs 11 group homes and condominiums and 8 supported living arrangements in the Greater Hartford area.
