HARC Is Awarded CARF Accreditation
HARTFORD, CT February, 2007 The Greater Hartford Association for Retarded Citizens, Inc. (HARC) is pleased to announce that it has received a three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for the following identified services:
Community Employment Services: Job Development
Community Employment Services: Job Supports
Community Employment Services: Job-Site Training
Employment Services: Organizational Employment Services
A three-year accreditation is the highest level of achievement and HARC has received 3-year accreditations consistently since 1982. This accreditation will extend through December 2009. It signifies that HARC has gone through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated
to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit that the organization is committed to CARF’s conditions and standards in a quest for quality programs and services. This accreditation outcome is awarded to organizations that demonstrate that the persons served are benefiting from the services provided.
The
Greater Hartford Association for Retarded Citizens, Inc. (HARC), was formed in
1951 by parents of children with intellectual disability. HARC remains true to
